How to use Dialogue Match

Using Dialogue Match is simple and intuitive. You just need to follow these steps:

Select a clip in your Pro Tools timeline that has the sonic profile you want to match. This will be your reference clip.

Open Dialogue Match as an AudioSuite plug-in and click on Learn Reference. Dialogue Match will analyze the reverb, EQ, and ambience characteristics of your reference clip and display them in the plug-in window.

Select another clip in your Pro Tools timeline that you want to match to the reference clip. This will be your apply-to clip.

Click on Learn Apply To. Dialogue Match will analyze the apply-to clip and show you how it differs from the reference clip.

Adjust the Amount sliders for each module (Reverb, EQ, Ambience) to control how much of the reference profile you want to apply to the apply-to clip. You can also tweak the individual parameters of each module for more fine-tuning.

Click on Render. Dialogue Match will process the apply-to clip and make it sound like it was recorded in the same environment as the reference clip.
